Customized Coverage for Jeju Travel:
Food Poisoning, Flight Cancellations, and Liability Included
Lotte Insurance announced on December 26 that it has partnered with the Jeju travel public platform 'Tamnao' to offer a free subscription to the 'Jeju Travel Insurance' for customers who book Jeju accommodations or rental cars through Tamnao.
Tamnao is Jeju's leading travel platform, supported by Jeju Province and operated by the Jeju Tourism Association. It is an open market service that provides not only flight, rental car, and accommodation bookings, but also information on local restaurants and tourist attractions in Jeju.
This partnership was established to express gratitude to Jeju tourism businesses and customers in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Tamnao service launch.
Customers who book Jeju travel products through Tamnao can sign up for Lotte Insurance's 'Jeju Travel Insurance' free of charge.
Lotte Insurance launched the Jeju Travel Insurance last August through the lifestyle insurance platform 'Alice', aiming to help customers visiting Jeju prepare for unexpected accidents or inconveniences.
The coverage was designed to comprehensively address various risks that may arise during travel in Jeju. It includes coverage for injury diagnosis, surgery, and treatment costs; a fixed benefit of 100,000 KRW for hospitalization due to food poisoning in summer; and up to 5 million KRW for liability accidents that occur during hotel stays.
In addition, the insurance helps reduce travelers' burdens by providing up to 100,000 KRW in additional stay expenses in the event of Jeju departure flight cancellations due to bad weather or other causes.
A Lotte Insurance representative stated, "Jeju Travel Insurance is the industry's first insurance product tailored specifically for Jeju travel, designed by analyzing travel risk factors as a lifestyle-focused product," adding, "It will provide practical support to customers seeking a safe and reasonable trip to Jeju."
