The '2025 ESG Resource Circulation Awards' is an event organized by E-Circulation Governance and sponsored by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment. Internally, SEMAS has promoted a campaign for the resource circulation of waste electronic products. Externally, through cooperation with public institutions in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions, it has contributed to the spread of resource circulation by recycling and donating unused IT equipment as refurbished PCs. In addition, through the 'Hope Return Package' project, which supports small business owners who have closed their businesses, and a business agreement with E-Circulation Governance, SEMAS has established an ESG practice model for environmentally friendly disposal of waste electrical and electronic products.
At the event held on the 24th, a resource circulation performance sharing session and an award ceremony for outstanding institutions, including the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment Award, took place. SEMAS, representing public institutions, presented its best practices. By introducing cases of creating ESG value to support small business owners based on public-private cooperation, SEMAS presented a model for expanding ESG practices in public institutions.
Park Sunghyo, Chairman of SEMAS, stated, "This award is significant in that our efforts have been recognized as an ESG practice that combines resource circulation not just as an environmental policy, but as a policy to support small businesses," and added, "We will continue to expand sustainable resource circulation models that create social value in the future."
