According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul -11.0 degrees Celsius, Incheon -10.5 degrees, Suwon -10.2 degrees, Chuncheon -11.2 degrees, Gangneung -8.1 degrees, Cheongju -8.9 degrees, Daejeon -8.7 degrees, Jeonju -7.8 degrees, Gwangju -5.5 degrees, Jeju 2.6 degrees, Daegu -6.5 degrees, Busan -4.8 degrees, Ulsan -5.9 degrees, and Changwon -4.5 degrees. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range from -7 to 2 degrees Celsius.
Snow is expected in the western coastal area of North Jeolla Province in the morning, and in Jeju until the afternoon. The expected snowfall amounts are 1 to 5 centimeters on the western coast of South Jeolla Province, around 1 centimeter in Gwangju and the western part of South Jeolla Province (excluding the western coast) and the western coast of North Jeolla Province, 5 to 10 centimeters in the mountainous areas of Jeju, and around 1 centimeter on the Jeju coast.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to be at 'good' levels nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Wave heights will range from 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and from 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West and South Sea coastal waters. In offshore areas (up to about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights will be 1.5 to 5.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 4.5 meters in the South Sea.
