Samsung Electronics has released a teaser video highlighting the company’s history of innovation in TVs and home appliances ahead of its pre-CES 2026 event, “The First Look 2026.”
On December 24, Samsung Electronics unveiled this teaser video for the first time, spotlighting the history of product innovation in anticipation of CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, which will take place in Las Vegas, USA, on January 6.
Previously, on December 23, Samsung Electronics had released a preview video announcing the theme of The First Look event.
The video introduces Samsung’s first-ever innovations in home appliances, such as the air conditioner equipped with a microcomputer chip in 1980, a multifunction microwave oven with a display in 1982, and a talking refrigerator in 1985.
Over the past 40 years, Samsung Electronics has continued to innovate, and today, the company offers bespoke AI home appliances that provide personalized solutions for users.
Samsung Electronics stated, “Samsung AI home appliances are on the verge of another turning point,” adding, “At this CES, we plan to unveil differentiated experiences that will profoundly understand users’ daily lives and dramatically enhance the value of life.”
Earlier, on December 19, Samsung Electronics posted a teaser video highlighting the history of TV innovation on its newsroom and YouTube channel.
In the teaser video, Samsung Electronics showcased the evolution of TV technology, from the launch of the “Ikono TV” in 1975 to CRT color TVs, LCD (liquid crystal display), LED (light-emitting diode), QLED (quantum dot light-emitting diode), and Micro RGB (red, green, blue). The company emphasized its ongoing pursuit of perfect light and color as it leads innovation in display technology.
Since the early 21st century, Samsung Electronics has led the TV industry, maintaining the number one position globally for the past 20 years.
On January 4, two days before the opening of CES 2026, Samsung Electronics will hold a presentation event at 7 p.m. (local time) at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, officially kicking off The First Look 2026. Various side events, including exhibitions and technology forums, will be held over the four days until January 7.
The theme of The First Look 2026 is “Your Companion to AI Living.” Samsung Electronics’ strategy is to integrate AI technology into all products and services, becoming a companion that enhances and supports the AI experience in every space where customers live their daily lives.
