Upon his election, Professor Moon stated, "The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Association for Communication and Media Studies must develop into an academic community that not only accumulates scholarly achievements but also seeks practical solutions to the challenges faced by local communities and industries. I will strive to develop the association into a practical platform that connects academia with the field, and policy with industry, so that it can help revitalize the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions. I will work together with our members to create an association that grows through shared reflection and discussion."
Starting in the 2026 academic year, the Department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Visual Media at Silla University will be reorganized into the Department of Media Communication, subdivided into majors in Broadcasting and Visual Media, Media Communication, and Advertising and Public Relations.
