President Lee Delivers Christmas Message
President Lee Jae-myung delivered a Christmas message, stating, "As we celebrate Christmas, I will do my utmost to ensure that warmth and hope reach the daily lives of all our citizens in the coming New Year."
On December 25, through a Facebook post, President Lee said, "Although this is a day that comes every year, I hope that today, you will be a little happier, spend joyful moments smiling with your loved ones, and make eye contact with them."
He continued, "I am reminded of Jesus Christ, who was born in the lowest and darkest of places and spent his entire life with those who suffered and were in pain. I believe that his life represents the true meaning of Christmas that we should remember."
President Lee also added, "I pray with both hands together that this precious Christmas will bring comfort to some, rest to others, and courage to many to face tomorrow."
