Walking and Goods Donation Challenge in Action
Spreading Warmth to the Community
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters is promoting health and establishing a participatory donation culture.
Lee Seyong, Head of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, implemented the ESC (Eco Step Challenge) campaign from November 24 to December 15, 2025.
The campaign was organized under two themes: Move Forward (Moving Toward Hope) and Move Backward (Returning to Nature), featuring social contribution activities through walking and the donation of recyclable goods.
A total of 665 participants joined the campaign, collectively recording 65 million steps and collecting 130 boxes of donated items, thereby exceeding the set goals.
By achieving Move Forward (Moving Toward Hope), Lee Seyong, Head of Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, delivered school supplies and snack sets to the Uljin Regional Children's Center, and provided reusable cups to the Alum-in Cafe, spreading warmth in the community.
The donation challenge Move Backward (Returning to Nature) involved delivering goods to Goodwill Store, where the items will be resold, thereby contributing to the enhancement of resource circulation value.
Head Lee Seyong stated, "It was meaningful to help create a participatory donation culture through walking and goods donations that can improve the health of Uljin residents. Next year, we will set even more ambitious goals with improved content to further strengthen the values of environmental sustainability and sharing through our donation culture."
