This volunteer activity was the final event of the year for Shinhan Financial Group’s flagship social contribution program, the "Global One Shinhan Volunteer Festival." It was organized to provide emotional comfort to children in medical settings, where care gaps can easily occur during the year-end season.
Around 20 employees of Shinhan Financial Group visited the hospital dressed as Santa Claus ahead of Christmas and held experiential programs with both outpatient and inpatient children, such as making Christmas worry dolls, creating Christmas trees, and sharing cookies.
A representative from Shinhan Financial Group said, "We hope this activity provides a moment of joy and comfort to children staying in the hospital. Shinhan Financial Group will continue to foster emotional connections with the local community and pursue warm companionship in everyday life through direct employee participation in social contribution activities."
Meanwhile, through the "Global One Shinhan Volunteer Festival" this year, approximately 9,000 employees of Shinhan Financial Group participated in about 30 volunteer activities.
