Relocation to Cheong Wa Dae to Be Essentially Completed by the 28th
Starting from the 29th, the presidential office will be renamed "Cheong Wa Dae."
On the 24th, the presidential office announced, "The phoenix flag displayed at the Yongsan presidential office will be taken down at midnight on the 29th, and at the same time, the phoenix flag will be raised at Cheong Wa Dae. The name of the presidential office will also be changed to Cheong Wa Dae." The phoenix flag is a symbol of the head of state of the Republic of Korea and is displayed at the president's main office.
Since the phoenix flag will be raised at Cheong Wa Dae on the 29th, the relocation from the Yongsan presidential office to Cheong Wa Dae is expected to be essentially completed by then. It is reported that the remaining secretarial staff at the Yongsan presidential office will complete their move by Christmas. The Chunchugwan press center at Cheong Wa Dae began operations on the 22nd.
