This extension reflects the continued interest and requests from citizens, and it is expected that more residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the winter night scenery in a relaxed atmosphere through the end of the year.

The city explained that since the festival opened on October 18, the number of visitors to Jangja Lake Park has been steadily increasing, with families, couples, and friends especially coming to the festival on weekends and during the evening hours, demonstrating sustained public interest.

In particular, the city stated that it decided to adjust the festival period so that people can enjoy the event at their leisure through the end of the year, as requests to "enjoy the festival a little longer" have been continuously received.

According to a mid-term review, since the festival began, usage of Jangja Lake Park Station on Seoul Metro Line 8 has increased by an average of 11%. Interviews with the Jangja Lake Park Merchants Association and the city’s own survey also found that average sales at nearby shops have risen by more than 15%. The city believes that the light festival is naturally encouraging visitors to use public transportation and is having a positive effect on revitalizing the local commercial district.

I encourage everyone to enjoy a relaxing winter night at Jangja Lake Park illuminated by lights, and if you also visit the nearby shops, it will greatly support our local community."
