This commendation is awarded to institutions with outstanding achievements in spreading the value and utilization of national heritage. Gwangju City and the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum were recognized for their citizen participation-based achievements through experiential programs that leveraged the unique characteristics of local national heritage.

Gwangju City and the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum received high praise for planning and operating participatory and experiential programs such as the "Law of the Prehistoric Age" overnight camp and "The Time of the King's Vessel at Bunwon," which enhanced public accessibility to Gwangju City's national heritage. In addition, they developed differentiated content linked to local national heritage and expanded the scope of utilization by operating programs distinct from those of other cities and counties.

In particular, for the overnight paid program, the city made efforts to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities by ensuring that families including children with developmental disabilities, recommended by the Gwangju City Disabled Family Center, could participate in every event free of charge with support from the Gonjiam Team-Up Campus.

A Gwangju City official stated, "Being selected as an excellent institution is the result of our efforts to expand national heritage from a mere object of preservation to an asset enjoyed together with citizens," and added, "As we have secured a larger budget by being reselected for the contest project in 2026, we will continue to discover and operate high-quality national heritage experience programs with a strong sense of responsibility."

Meanwhile, Gwangju City has been selected for three contest projects hosted by the National Heritage Administration in 2026, including the "Vivid National Heritage Utilization Contest Project," the "National Heritage Night Tour Contest Project," and the "Local National Heritage Revitalization Education Contest Project," and plans to operate a variety of programs utilizing local national heritage.
