A Sweet Christmas Gift for Local Children
Paris Baguette Yeongyang Branch Shares Warmth Through Cake Donations for the Third Year
Lee Junghwa’s Ongoing Support Brings Joy and Hope to Underprivileged Families
There is a 'real Santa' in Yeongyang County who brings true nourishment.
Paris Baguette Yeongyang branch, led by Lee Junghwa, is spreading warmth and inspiration this Christmas by sharing sweet treats with underprivileged children in the local community.
On the afternoon of December 23, Yeongyang County Dream Start announced that Paris Baguette Yeongyang branch had donated 30 Christmas cakes for children supported by Dream Start and children in foster care, as well as other vulnerable children in the area.
This donation is part of a regular sponsorship that began in 2023 and has continued for three consecutive years.
Every year at the end of the year, Lee Junghwa visits Dream Start without fail, reaching out to ensure that children from families who may struggle to afford a cake due to financial hardship can enjoy a happy Christmas.
The 30 donated cakes will be distributed equally to 30 households, including Dream Start case-managed children and foster families, so that the children can create precious memories with their families.
Lee Junghwa, head of Paris Baguette Yeongyang branch, said, "When I first started donating three years ago, I heard that the children loved it, and it was deeply rewarding. Although it is a small gesture, I hope that at least this Christmas, our local children can be happier and warmer than anyone else."
An official from Yeongyang County said, "Despite these difficult times, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering kindness of the branch manager, who has always put the children first for three years. We will do our best to ensure that the joy and hope intended by this precious donation are delivered to the children."
