On December 24, Polaris Group announced its regular executive appointments for 2026, aimed at strengthening organizational competitiveness and enhancing the execution of its medium- to long-term business strategies.
This round of appointments focuses on reinforcing the group’s strategic functions while boosting accountability and expertise within each affiliate. In particular, the group plans to solidify its growth foundation by restructuring leadership around core business areas such as AI, biotechnology, and software.
Ji Junkyung, CEO of Polaris Office, has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Group Strategy Office, which serves as the control tower for group-wide strategy. Vice Chairman Ji will oversee the establishment of portfolio strategies, the discovery of new growth engines, and the maximization of synergy among affiliates, leading the implementation of the group’s medium- to long-term roadmap.
The CEO system for affiliates has also been strengthened. Yoon Junghui, Head of the Management Support Division, has been appointed CEO of Polaris AI, while Cho Wonkyung, Head of the Sales Division, has been named CEO of Polaris AI Pharma.
In addition, a total of four executives from various affiliates have been promoted or newly appointed as part of this personnel reshuffle.
A Polaris Group representative stated, “This round of appointments is significant in that it strengthens the human resources foundation necessary to stably pursue the group’s medium- to long-term growth strategies. By placing professionals with expertise and execution capabilities at the forefront of each business area, we will continue to expand synergies among our affiliates.”
