Proprietary Strain Complex Developed by hy's Own Technology
Five Times Higher Gut Survival Rate Than One-Day Cultured Strains
Registered as a Functional Ingredient with the U.S. FDA, Proven Safe
'L3BBS,' developed by hy, sets a new standard for selecting probiotics, the beneficial bacteria in the gut.
L3BBS is a complex composed of six proprietary strains patented by hy. All six strains were developed and cultivated exclusively by hy using its own technology. These are live probiotics, and among them, the HY2782 strain has completed registration as a functional ingredient (NDI) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), thereby proving its safety.
The representative strain among the complex is 'HY2782,' commonly referred to as the 'Yakult lactic acid bacteria' used in most of hy's fermented milk products. HY2782 is characterized by its increased gut survival rate achieved through long-term cultivation. According to hy's own research, this strain demonstrated a gut survival rate approximately five times higher than that of the strain after one day of cultivation.
It also exhibits excellent adhesion to the intestinal wall. In cell adhesion experiments, the sample cultivated for seven days recorded an intestinal adhesion rate of 8.7%, while the sample cultivated for one day showed only 3.3%. The ability to adhere to the intestinal wall is a crucial factor for probiotics. Attachment of probiotics to intestinal epithelial cells enables interaction with the host, which has positive effects on health. In particular, it prevents the attachment of harmful bacteria and aids the absorption of beneficial substances.
'HY7801' is also included. HY7801 is a patented lactic acid bacteria strain derived from the human body and owned by hy. Researchers at hy are studying the relationship between this strain and women's health through animal experiments. HY7801 is an acidophilic beneficial strain that thrives even in the acidic environment of the vagina. When the vaginal environment becomes alkaline, it becomes easier for bacteria to proliferate and for harmful bacteria to invade, but HY7801 helps prevent this. Its effectiveness against urinary tract infections has also been confirmed, as it inhibits the activity of causative bacteria and significantly reduces bladder inflammation in laboratory mice.
In addition, L3BBS has been designed to enhance competitiveness by including 'HY8002,' 'HY7712,' and 'HY7715,' which are used in hy's flagship gut health brand 'MPRO.'
