Hana Securities Restructures Organization to Expand Venture Capital Supply and Strengthen AI Innovation

Hana Securities has carried out an organizational restructuring centered on expanding the supply of venture capital and strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) and digital innovation, following the approval for issuing promissory notes. Through this, the company aims to align with the "productive financial transformation" initiative emphasized by the Lee Jaemyung administration.

According to Hana Securities on December 24, this restructuring focuses on enhancing organizational competitiveness through innovation and transformation, based on a four-group system: Wealth Management (WM), Investment Banking (IB), Sales & Trading (S&T), and Management Support. To secure new growth engines such as the supply of venture capital, a Comprehensive Finance Division reporting directly to the CEO has been established, and the IB division has been reorganized to strengthen productive finance. Additionally, an AI Strategy Office has been created to act as a control tower for establishing AI strategies in a rapidly changing environment, laying the foundation for company-wide AI-driven cultural innovation.

In detail, the WM division plans to strengthen channel competitiveness by providing customer-tailored services and advancing its core branch strategies. To this end, a Family Office Division has been newly established to offer customized wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals through key hub branches such as "THE Centerfield W." Furthermore, the number of regional branch divisions has been increased from two to five, allowing for more segmented and tailored sales strategies by customer and by region.

The IB division has been reorganized from the previous two divisions into the Productive Finance Division and the Alternative Finance Division. In particular, core business functions such as corporate finance, ECM, acquisition finance, and private equity (PE) have been concentrated in the Productive Finance Division. An SME Office has also been established to support small and medium-sized enterprises, building a structure that actively contributes to the expansion of productive and inclusive finance at the Hana Financial Group level, including the supply of venture capital. The S&T division has been expanded and reorganized into two units: Derivatives Solutions and FICC (Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities), and a Delta One Division has been newly established.

Kim Dongsik, Head of Management Strategy at Hana Securities, stated, "This organizational restructuring was carried out to earn customers' trust and lay the foundation for qualitative growth in a rapidly changing environment," adding, "Based on securing new growth engines through the approval for issuing promissory notes, we will faithfully fulfill our role in the productive financial transformation, including the sound and responsible supply of venture capital."
