Dongducheon City Selected as Top City in 'Neighbor in Crisis Discovery and Public-Private Cooperation Excellence Evaluation'

Dongducheon City announced on the 24th that it was selected as the top city in Group III in the '2025 Neighbor in Crisis Discovery and Public-Private Cooperation Excellence City and County Evaluation' hosted by Gyeonggi Province.

This evaluation was conducted for 31 cities and counties within Gyeonggi Province to comprehensively assess their achievements in the early identification of neighbors in crisis and the establishment of a robust welfare safety net through public-private cooperation.

Dongducheon City was recognized for its outstanding performance across various areas, including the operation of the Community Social Security Council, participation in the Gyeonggi-do Hope Supporter Program, integrated case management, operation of customized benefits (welfare membership), initial consultations using AI, and the performance of the welfare crisis notification service, leading to its selection as the top city.

As a result of this selection, Dongducheon City will receive a commendation from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province. In addition, three public officials and seven private sector individuals have been recognized for their contributions and will be awarded commendations in December 2025.

An official from Dongducheon City stated, "This achievement is thanks to the efforts of both public and private organizations and local residents who worked together on the ground to identify and support neighbors in crisis. We will continue to build a robust welfare safety net through public-private cooperation to create a Dongducheon where there are no households in crisis and everyone can be happy."
