According to the county on December 24, Gochang Market recorded total annual sales of 2.2 billion KRW as of December 19, with sales of salted napa cabbage-a single item sold during the recent kimchi-making season-reaching 50 million KRW.
The growth of Gochang Market has been attributed to improvements in service quality, such as home delivery, and the maximization of marketing efforts through various social media channels including YouTube and Naver Blog.
In addition, the website has recently been revamped and a dedicated app has been developed, marking the start of full-scale operations. Given the characteristics of a regional agricultural products mall, special consideration has been given to making the purchasing process easy, convenient, and fast for users over 70 years old and other demographics.
Furthermore, the app is expected to enhance customer convenience by providing real-time notifications and special discount information.
In particular, next year the delivery range will be expanded to include refrigerated and frozen products. The company also plans to implement customized marketing strategies to boost sales, utilizing big data and AI based on purchasing patterns by age group and region.
