This performance sharing meeting was organized to comprehensively review the results of the three major strategies and 32 detailed projects that Paju City has pursued since being designated as a pilot area for the Education Development Zone, and to strengthen the foundation for cooperation to create a sustainable local educational ecosystem. The event was attended by about 100 stakeholders, including members of the Education Development Committee, university attraction advisory committee members, and representatives of the 'Education Communication Governance' for Paju City parents.

The first part of the event began with an opening ceremony, followed by an awards ceremony for outstanding reporters from the Education Development Zone Youth Press Corps. In the second part, key projects of the Education Development Zone were introduced, including the establishment of the Paju-style Neulbom infrastructure, operation of the Paju-style integrated care model "Paarang School," innovation in learning based on educational information technology (Edutech), expansion of International Baccalaureate (IB) education, and shared school and university-linked career and college entrance programs, which drew significant interest from the attendees.

Afterwards, students who participated in the representative project of the Education Development Zone, the "Dream Hamseong Shared School," presented the "Growth Sharing Concert," providing an opportunity to share the meaning of growth through education.

In addition, the head of the Paju City Lifelong Education Division announced information related to educational support for 2026, and Professor Jeon Jesang of Gongju National University of Education gave a special lecture on the theme of "Future Education Direction," linking education and regional development.

Since being selected as a pilot area for the Education Development Zone in 2024, Paju City has achieved meaningful results, including receiving the Minister of Education Award, being selected as an excellent case by the Ministry of Education at the National Assembly Legislative Expo, and securing an additional 1 billion won in project funds by achieving an "A" grade in the pilot area performance evaluation, thereby strengthening its position as a city of educational innovation.

Along with this, Paju City is implementing a variety of policies aimed at closing educational gaps and establishing a foundation for future education, such as the Paju-style integrated care model "Paarang School," expanding support for schools with excessive or insufficient student numbers, creating learning environments based on artificial intelligence (AI) and educational information technology (Edutech), and strengthening after-school care systems.

Mayor Kim Kyoungil of Paju City stated, "The achievements of the Education Development Zone are the result of the joint efforts of Paju City, the Paju Office of Education, schools, and all citizens," and added, "We will do our utmost to expand the educational environment so that children can learn, grow, and plan their futures within the community, and to strengthen stable living conditions."
