Seocho District's OK Civil Service Center in Seoul has been recognized for providing the highest level of civil service among local governments nationwide, earning the Presidential Award. On December 24, the district announced that it had been selected as the top institution for the "Citizen Happiness Civil Service Office" at the "2025 Civil Service Administration Development Commendation Ceremony," hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety at the Government Complex Sejong on December 23.

Seocho District has received this certification five consecutive times since first being recognized in 2013. This year, it was the only institution among 58 certified nationwide to be named the top institution.

In 2006, the district opened the OK Civil Service Center, the nation’s first one-stop civil service administration center. In 2023, it introduced "universal design," installing wheelchair ramps, braille guidance maps, and automatic doors, as well as operating a sign language interpretation window and a "Considerate Service Window."

Last year, the district adopted a "QR code-based electronic civil service form system," allowing residents to easily apply for services via smartphone without paper forms. It also established an integrated online-offline queue management system, the civil service guide robot "Haengboki," and a mobile satisfaction survey system.

For civil service staff, the district operates the "Adamso Room," a private space, and healing programs. For residents, it provides the "OK Life Advisory Group" free consultation service and operates a night civil service office every Wednesday.

Seocho District Mayor Jeon Seongsoo stated, "We will continue to pursue smart administrative innovation so that every visitor to the OK Civil Service Center can experience convenience."
