Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jaehyuk) announced on December 23 that it had achieved a "Grade 1 in Comprehensive Integrity" in the 2025 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment for public institutions, as announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. With this, the corporation has attained the highest grade in comprehensive integrity for three consecutive years.
This assessment was calculated by comprehensively evaluating integrity perception (survey results), integrity efforts (policy implementation performance), and point deductions for corruption across all local public corporations and organizations nationwide. The corporation received consistently high scores in all indicators, further solidifying its status as a leading integrity-driven public enterprise representing Gyeongbuk Province.
This year, under the value of "Integrity is Competitiveness," the corporation has promoted various integrity initiatives based on the strong commitment to integrity of its leadership. In particular, the corporation cited its focused improvements in areas vulnerable to corruption and the operation of effective programs to spread a culture of integrity as key factors in achieving the Grade 1 rating.
The corporation has implemented a range of programs, including the GBDC Good Work Campaign, employee-participatory internal audits, improvements in corruption-prone areas led by the president, the introduction of a senior management abuse prevention system, and the adoption of Integrity AI. It also announced plans to continue discovering and implementing various programs next year to achieve the unprecedented goal of "four consecutive years of the highest grade in comprehensive integrity," thereby continuously expanding the culture of integrity.
Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, stated, "Achieving Grade 1 in the comprehensive integrity assessment is a result not only of the efforts of our employees but also a gift from the residents of Gyeongbuk Province and our partner companies who work with us." He added, "We will not rest on our current achievements, but will further develop outstanding practices and continuously improve areas that need enhancement, so that a culture of integrity can take firm root throughout our organization. We will do our utmost to remain a trustworthy and integrity-driven corporation for the residents of the province."
