Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Sell 79,901 Vehicles in Europe in November, Slight Increase from Last Year

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia sold a total of 79,901 vehicles in the European market in November this year, marking a 0.2% increase compared to the same month last year.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) on December 23, Hyundai Motor Company sold 41,026 units and Kia sold 38,875 units in Europe last month. Compared to the same period last year, Hyundai Motor Company’s sales rose by 3.7%, while Kia’s sales declined by 3.2%.


The combined market share of Hyundai Motor Company (3.8%) and Kia (3.6%) in Europe was 7.4%, which is a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year.


The main models sold by Hyundai Motor Company were the Tucson (9,895 units), Kona (779 units), and i20 (4,400 units). For Kia, the best-selling models were the Sportage (11,479 units), EV3 (5,827 units), and Ceed (4,951 units), in that order.


For eco-friendly vehicles, including hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and electric vehicles (EVs), Hyundai Motor Company’s main sales figures were Tucson (5,982 units), Kona (5,407 units), and Inster (Casper Electric, 2,042 units).


Kia’s eco-friendly models that sold well included the EV3 (5,827 units), Niro (3,142 units), and EV6 (1,236 units).
