A notice posted at a convenience store in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, offering anything for free to national merit recipients and their families, has become a hot topic.

On December 22, a post titled "A convenience store in Yeongtong, Suwon that I want to support with my money" was uploaded to an online community. The photo submitted by the poster shows two notices attached to the entrance of the convenience store.

The notice reads, "We remember your sacrifice in protecting the Republic of Korea. To national merit recipients and their families: please take anything you need from my convenience store, free of charge. Please don't hesitate to come in. I respect and love you."

The notice also states that winter supplies and food will be provided to seniors, in addition to national merit recipients and their families. Another notice says, "The older we get, the colder winter feels. Dear seniors, if your hands or feet get cold on your way, please come in right away," and adds, "If you need anything like hot packs, masks, instant coffee, bottled water, cup noodles, or triangular kimbap, please let us know."

The poster commented, "This is a wonderful convenience store in Yeongtong, Suwon, that I wanted to support with my money. I live in Giheung, Yongin, but I came all the way to Yeongtong, Suwon, to do so. I’m sharing this because it’s too good to keep to myself."

Netizens also responded with praise. Comments included, "I hope the owner receives many blessings," "Even if it's marketing, this kind of marketing is always welcome," and "This store doesn't just do this in winter-during the summer, they give out free ice water as well."
