Fostering Future Talent and Promoting K-Fashion
On December 23, Korea Epson announced the successful conclusion of the "Details for Tomorrow with U - The 3rd Digital Textile Printing Contest for Tomorrow," an event designed to foster future talent in the eco-friendly fashion industry and promote the development of K-fashion.
Launched in 2023 and now in its third year, this contest is held annually in collaboration with the Korean Fashion Business Association to highlight the value of sustainable fashion with students who will lead the fashion design industry. At this year's award ceremony, 25 teams in the apparel category and 30 teams in the accessories category, all of whom passed the first round of judging, presented their works on-site and received evaluations.
The judging panel consisted of eight experts, including representatives from Epson, the Korean Fashion Business Association, and professionals active in the domestic fashion industry. Entries were evaluated fairly based on criteria such as commercialization potential, creative identity, and the application of sustainability elements. A total of 15 teams received awards, including the Eco-Friendly Printing Grand Prize and the Gold Prize. The Grand Prize was awarded to the apparel piece "Rainy Day's Stingray" by Ko Doyoung, Kwon Gujin, and Bae Seoyoon, inspired by the idea of enjoying rather than avoiding the rain. The winners received a certificate and a prize of 3 million won.
