Gimpo City Changes Terminus from Ewha Womans University Entrance to Seoul Station West
M6117 Metropolitan Express Bus to Stop at Seoul Station Starting January Next Year
Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province announced on December 23 that, starting January 3, 2026, the terminus of the Daegwangwi Metropolitan Express Bus M6117, which has not been stopping at Seoul Station since August due to demolition work at Seosomun Overpass in Seoul, will be changed from Ewha Womans University Entrance to Seoul Station West.
With this route change, the bus will no longer stop at the existing Sinchon Five-way Intersection.Hyundai Department Store (Central), Sinchon Five-way Intersection.Line 2 Sinchon Station, Ewha Womans University Entrance, and Mapo Xi 2nd Apartment.Daehyeong Station stops. Instead, it will stop at Sinchon Station Exit 8 (14228), Gongdeok Station Exit 1 (14180), and Seoul Station West (02105).
As the M6117 bus will now stop at Seoul Station West, the inconvenience experienced by commuters near Seoul Station and high-speed train passengers-caused by the absence of stops at Seoul Station since August on the only metropolitan express route connecting Gimpo City and Seoul Station-is expected to be resolved with this route change.
Additionally, the city plans to carry out comprehensive public outreach to prevent confusion among citizens regarding the route change, including posting information about stops and non-stops, announcements on the city’s website, and banners on the front of buses.
A Gimpo City official stated, “With the addition of the Seoul Station West stop, we can now address the inconvenience for commuters and train passengers near Seoul Station,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to improve the public transportation environment for the convenience of our citizens.”
