Alumni Companies Including Interex Participate,
Donating 100 Million KRW to the Development Fund
The UNIST Graduate School of Technology Management, which has been nurturing talent in technology management, held the 'MOT Innovation Forum and Homecoming Day' to mark its 10th anniversary.
The Graduate School of Technology Management (MOT) at UNIST (President Chong Rae Park) hosted the '2025 MOT Innovation Forum and Homecoming Day' on the afternoon of December 19 at the university headquarters to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding.

More than 100 people attended the event, including alumni, current students, faculty, and industry professionals.
The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past decade and to discuss future directions for development. It also served to review educational outcomes that have expanded advanced technologies into management strategies and business execution, while further strengthening exchanges between alumni and the industry.
The event began with a 10th anniversary opening ceremony and a development fund donation. Alongside congratulatory remarks from President Chong Rae Park, an alumni development fund donation ceremony was held.
Alumni companies, including Interex, a manufacturing AI specialist, and SGR Tech, as well as individual alumni, collectively donated 100 million KRW to the UNIST development fund. This demonstrated their commitment to supporting the university's growth so that the achievements of technology management education can be translated into industrial practice.
During the '2025 MOT Innovation Forum,' the transformation of Korean industry and its future direction were examined. The keynote speech was delivered by Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Energy Agency. Addressing the topic of 'Korea's Energy Transition and the Energy Industry,' he outlined the trends in energy transition, changes in industrial structure, and the future direction of the industry through policy developments.
Following the keynote, a panel discussion was held under the theme 'Future Orientation of Industrial Innovation in Korea.'
The panelists included Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Energy Agency; Kim Junseok, CEO of Seorabeol City Gas; Kim Youngchun, Professor at UNIST; Lim Heecheon, Vice President of Technology at the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association; and Woo Hankyun, Professor at Sogang University. The discussion was moderated by Choi Youngrok, Dean of the Graduate School of Technology Management. The panel focused on the role and significance of technology management in the processes of energy transition and industrial innovation, drawing on real-world case studies.
The subsequent session, '2025 Homecoming Day: UNIST MOU All Together, Let's Take Off!' provided a platform for alumni networking. During the alumni presentations themed 'Changing the World through Technology Management,' cases of venture startups and in-house or corporate innovation were introduced.
The presenters included Park Jungyoon, CEO of Interex; Lee Jaeseom, Senior Manager at Hyundai Heavy Industries; Kim Yonghyun, Director at Korea East-West Power; Kim Suhong, CEO of SGR Tech; and Cho Subong, Manager at DIC. They shared their personal growth stories and industrial experiences as alumni of the Graduate School of Technology Management.
The event concluded with the presentation of Outstanding Alumni Awards and Service Awards, and a startup mentoring program was also organized for current students.
Kim Seungchan, CEO of Flexcraft, and Lim Jeyeon, CEO of FindER, presented their startup experiences. Park Jungyoon, CEO of Interex; Son Jeonghee, patent attorney at Soo Patent & Law Firm; and Kim Jihye, investment manager at Ulsan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, participated as mentors, providing practical advice for startups.
Choi Youngrok, Dean of the Graduate School of Technology Management, stated, "This 10th anniversary event was an opportunity for alumni, students, and faculty to come together and strengthen our bonds. We have nurtured more than 400 technology management professionals who have contributed to the nation and the region. Together with our students, alumni, and the industry, we will strive to become a leading technology management platform driving innovation in the southeastern region."
