The drama "Today's What to Eat Season 2" is expanding its setting to major attractions in both Korea and Japan.


"Today's What to Eat Season 2," a mini-drama receiving production support from Yangsan City, Gyeongsangnam-do for the first time, will promote Yangsan's tourism resources and city image through broadcasts on Busan MBC and Nagoya regional TV in Japan.


"Today's What to Eat Season 2" is a Korea-Japan joint mini-drama co-produced by Busan MBC and TV Aichi in Japan, consisting of 10 episodes, each 30 minutes long.

This production received the "Grand Prize in the Overseas Excellent Co-Production Category" at the 2025 International Broadcasting Co-Production Conference (IBCC), hosted by the Broadcasting Media and Communications Committee on November 19.


Jinjin from the popular idol group Astro and Japanese actor Masato Yoshihara star in the drama, delivering empathy and comfort as they showcase the charm of food and everyday life through various part-time jobs and local experiences set in major regions of Korea and Japan.


The fifth episode, set in Yangsan, will air on December 27 at 10:30 a.m. on Busan MBC, and is scheduled to be broadcast in Japan on February 24, 2026, on TV Aichi.


In this episode, major tourist attractions in Yangsan such as Hwangsan Park, Beopgi Reservoir, and Hongryong Falls serve as key filming locations. The main characters take on part-time jobs while wearing costumes of Yangsan's tourism mascots "Ppuyong" and "Hoyt," conveying a bright and friendly city image.


Additionally, scenes featuring part-time work at Haha Boribap, a restaurant selected as a Yangsan must-try, Yetangtteok at Nambu Market, and Mokhwadang 1944 Cafe, established through an urban regeneration project, will highlight the local food and the simple charm of everyday life in Yangsan.


An official from Yangsan City stated, "We expect this Korea-Japan co-produced drama to help domestic and international viewers become more familiar with Yangsan's nature and daily life," adding, "We will continue to strengthen tourism promotion in connection with Korean Wave content in the future."
