Hambaksan Memorial Park is a comprehensive funeral facility jointly operated by seven local governments in the southwestern region of Gyeonggi Province, including Hwaseong, Bucheon, Ansan, Anyang, Siheung, Gwangmyeong, and Gunpo. The park is equipped with cremation facilities, a funeral hall, enshrinement facilities, and natural burial grounds.

The city explained that the expansion of the cremators aims to reduce waiting times caused by increased demand for cremation and to ensure the stable operation of public funeral facilities.

With this expansion, the average number of cremations that Hambaksan Memorial Park can handle per day is expected to increase from 55 to 80. The city plans to conduct trial operations this month and begin expanded operations starting in January next year.

Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "With this expansion of the cremators, we have created an environment where citizens can receive more stable funeral services," adding, "We will continue to do our best to improve funeral culture and enhance services."
