The government selected 23 out of 229 local governments as excellent local governments based on outstanding performance in the Basic Livelihood Security Project, in order to encourage frontline welfare agencies and promote proactive project implementation. Imsil County has received this award for three consecutive years, following its wins in 2023 and 2024.
The county manages and supports 1,756 households, which is about 12% of its residents, as basic livelihood recipients. Households in crisis receive prompt support for living expenses and medical costs through emergency welfare assistance.
This achievement is the result of close cooperation not only within the county and its towns and villages, but also among public-private partnerships, welfare coordinators, and honorary social welfare officials, who have worked together to identify and support neighbors in need.
County Governor Sim Min said, "I am pleased that our public-private collaboration has been recognized for significantly contributing to improving welfare and alleviating daily and economic hardships for our residents," and added, "We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that county residents face no difficulties in their daily lives."
