The Gyeonggi-do 119 Special Response Team was selected as a firefighting agency that produced a hero firefighter in the 'Hero Firefighter Support Project' organized by S-OIL, and donated the entire prize money of 2.5 million won back to the local community.

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 23rd that on the 19th, the Special Response Team donated the full amount of the prize money to Hanul Nursing Home, and more than 10 staff members participated in community service activities together.

In particular, this initiative was meaningful because it went beyond a simple monetary donation; members visited the site in person and participated in volunteer work, thereby realizing both financial support and a sense of community solidarity and emotional connection.

Kim Taeyeon, head of the 119 Special Response Team, stated, "In addition to our role of protecting the lives and safety of the public on the front lines, it is also important for public institutions to fulfill their responsibility to coexist with the local community. I hope this volunteer activity provides comfort and support to the elderly residents, and we will continue our ongoing social contribution efforts in the future."
