Full Tuition and Textbook Support for University Students... MBK Scholarship Foundation Recruiting 19th Class

Textbook Expenses and Study Encouragement Stipends Provided Each Semester

The MBK Scholarship Foundation will select scholarship recipients among next year's incoming university freshmen and provide full support for both admission and tuition fees.

On December 23, the MBK Scholarship Foundation announced that it is recruiting the 19th class of scholarship recipients for students who plan to enter university in the 2026 academic year.

There are no specific restrictions or quantitative criteria regarding the applicant’s gender, place of origin, intended university, or major field of study. Any student who is scheduled to enter university in the 2026 academic year and who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and potential as a future leader despite challenging living and educational environments is eligible to apply.

After applications are submitted, recipients will be selected through a document review and interview process. Both early and regular admission applicants are eligible. Applicants should refer to the application guidelines and notices on the MBK Scholarship Foundation website and submit their applications online between January 2 and 5:00 p.m. on January 13 next year. Candidates who pass the document review will be individually notified in the afternoon of January 19. Interviews are scheduled to take place from January 21 to 23. Final selection results will be announced on January 27.

Selected students will receive full support for admission fees, and if they maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a 4.3 scale per semester, their entire tuition will also be covered. In addition, textbook expenses for each semester will be provided, and eligible students may also receive a "study encouragement stipend" and a "merit-based scholarship" each semester, as well as an "exchange student scholarship" after review. The foundation’s goal is to help scholarship recipients focus on their studies and develop into talents who can contribute to society in the long term.

The MBK Scholarship Foundation is a public interest foundation established in 2007 by Kim Byungju, Chairman of MBK Partners, to support students with outstanding abilities who face difficulties continuing their education due to financial hardship. The foundation is committed to providing practical support so that students can devote themselves to their studies without financial burden, recognizing that education is a key driver of personal growth and social development. Over the past 18 years, a total of 215 students have been selected and supported as scholarship recipients.
