Ellis Group Selected for Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "2025 Scale-Up TIPS R&D" Program

1. 1.2 Billion Won in R&D Support Over Three Years
2. Developing High-Reliability AI Document Processing Technology Specialized for Manufacturing

Ellis Group announced on December 23 that it has been finally selected for the "2025 Scale-Up TIPS R&D" program, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. With the R&D and commercialization funds secured through this selection, Ellis Group plans to accelerate the advancement of its artificial intelligence (AI) technology specialized for the manufacturing industry.

Scale-Up TIPS, hosted by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs and organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is a technology growth program in which private investors and the government jointly discover and nurture promising, technology-intensive small and medium-sized startups that have entered a full-fledged growth phase. The R&D General Track, for which Ellis Group was selected, is a core support category that focuses on national strategic technologies, responding to the global AI competitive environment, and fostering innovative AI companies.

With this selection, Ellis Group will receive a total of 1.2 billion won in R&D support over the next three years. The company plans to use this funding to develop high-reliability Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) technology for the manufacturing sector. This technology implements the entire process-from document collection and interpretation to verification and system integration-as a single AI pipeline, addressing productivity loss issues in manufacturing sites.

Ellis Group aims to reduce complex document misreading and misapplication in manufacturing sites with a single AI model. At the same time, it plans to apply a cross-verification system with AI agents at various levels to control AI hallucinations and achieve reliability of over 99%.

Kim Jaewon, CEO of Ellis Group, stated, "This selection officially recognizes Ellis Group's capabilities in AI model development and security systems, as well as our essential private cloud and high-reliability AI infrastructure for specialized industries such as AX. We will develop AI technology optimized for the diverse needs of industries including manufacturing, and capable of precisely supporting complex decision-making, to become a trusted standard AI solutions company in the global industrial field."
