On December 23, Bithumb announced that it will serve as the organizer for the second HPT (Hangame Poker Tour), the on-and-offline poker tournament of NHN's mobile poker game "Hangame Royal Hold'em."
HPT is Hangame's own branded offline tournament, based on "Hangame Royal Hold'em." The event is divided into online satellite tournaments for the qualifiers and offline tournaments held on-site. This upcoming event marks the second edition, following the first held in November of the previous year. A total prize pool of Bitcoin (BTC) worth 1 billion KRW will be awarded.
To participate, players must compete in the satellite tournaments held within "Hangame Royal Hold'em" over a 60-day period from December 22 to February 19 of the following year.
Participants will compete for a total of 3,600 main event seats through three daily online tournaments held at 18:30, 20:30, and 22:30. Any "Hangame Royal Hold'em" user can join the online tournaments without a separate application process.
The main event will take place over three days, from February 20 to 22, 2026, at the Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Finalists will be determined over the course of these three days. The final match, which will decide the ultimate winner, will be held on February 23 at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum. The champion will receive a trophy along with a Bitcoin prize.
Notably, this tournament will offer enhanced broadcast content for Hold'em game viewers. A total of six broadcasts are scheduled during the online satellite tournament period, with professional commentators participating to heighten the excitement.
A Bithumb representative stated, "This HPT tournament is a new type of participatory event that combines gaming, sports, and virtual asset culture. We will continue to create unique experiences and offer generous rewards by connecting culture and virtual assets in various ways."
