Sejung Group Practices "Space Sharing" for Social Inclusion
Sejung Group (Chairman Sung Park Sunho) has initiated a space-sharing project to support the rehabilitation and social participation of people with disabilities.
On December 23, Sejung Group announced its support for the opening of the Sena Vocational Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled (Sena Center) on the 7th floor of Sejung Tower in Guseo, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and will hold an opening ceremony that morning.
The ceremony will be attended by Sung Park Sunho, Chairman of Sejung Group, Ilhyeon Yoon, Mayor of Geumjeong-gu, Junho Lee, Busan City Council member, Haeyoung Park, Director of Namgwang Social Welfare Center, Yohan Shin, Director of Geumjeong-gu Community Self-Sufficiency Center, Hyunnyeo Shim, Director of the Sejung Sharing Foundation, and other key local figures.

Guseo Sejung Tower, completed in 2014, is a landmark in Geumjeong-gu with one basement level and 15 floors above ground. Located at the entrance of Guseo IC, it is known for its excellent accessibility. The 7th floor (with an area of 386 square meters) now occupied by the Sena Center will serve as a hub for supporting the rehabilitation and independence of people with disabilities in the region.
Sejung Group will subsidize a portion of the rent to ensure the stable operation of the Sena Center, planning to provide annual support worth approximately 35 million won. This will allow the center to reduce its financial burden, secure a long-term operational foundation, and focus on supporting the independence of people with disabilities and offering a variety of vocational rehabilitation programs.
This initiative reflects Sejung Group’s philosophy of realizing social value by choosing to support people with disabilities and foster inclusion, rather than pursuing high-profit commercial leases. The meaningful use of corporate real estate assets as a means to create social value has been particularly well received.
Sung Park Sunho, Chairman of Sejung Group, stated, “I hope the Sena Center, starting from Guseo Sejung Tower, will provide substantial assistance in the rehabilitation and social activities of people with disabilities,” adding, “We will continue to practice the values of sharing and coexistence with the local community.”
Yohan Shin, Director of the Sena Center, commented, “This support will serve as a strong foundation for the daily recovery and independence of our members with disabilities,” and added, “We will work with Sejung to create meaningful change in the local community.” On this day, Director Shin is scheduled to present a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Park as a token of gratitude.
In a reality where space support for welfare institutions remains rare, the case of the Sena Center moving into Sejung Tower is being highlighted as a model of social contribution that addresses both vacancy issues and regional welfare needs. Industry experts believe this case has a high potential to spread as a new model for corporate social contribution that fosters coexistence between companies and local communities.
