Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) held the '2nd Human Rights Management Committee of 2025' on December 19, where the company shared the achievements of its human rights management initiatives for the year and discussed measures to strengthen the implementation system for future human rights protection.

This committee meeting was attended by both internal and external members appointed in accordance with the 'Human Rights Management Regulations.' The purpose was to review the current status of the corporation's human rights management efforts and to explore mid- to long-term development strategies.
Throughout this year, Busan Urban Corporation has continued its comprehensive activities to protect human rights. The company enhanced whistleblower protection by introducing an anonymous reporting feature to its human rights violation reporting center and conducted surveys targeting people with disabilities and emotional labor workers to review appropriate job placements. Additionally, the corporation introduced a 'Human Rights Respect Checklist' for contracting parties and promoted a declaration of the Human Rights Management Charter with participation from both employees and external stakeholders.
In November, the corporation became the first in its field to receive 'Human Rights Management System Certification' from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), earning external recognition for the excellence of its human rights management system. The company also revised guidelines to better protect staff handling civil complaints and strengthened safety management at its headquarters, striving to create a safe and respectful work environment.
Committee members in attendance on this day offered various suggestions for advancing human rights management, including reviewing the adoption of AI-based human rights solutions in the future.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We will actively incorporate the valuable suggestions made by the committee into our future human rights management plans," and added, "We will do our utmost to create a 'workplace that respects human rights' where the rights of all employees and stakeholders are upheld."
