Opportunities to Enjoy Art and Experience Artistic Fulfillment
Gallery 107, operated by Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province, announced on December 23 that it is recruiting participants for the "Winter Art School" program until January 7 of next year.
The Art School is an art education program held annually during school vacations. Its aim is to develop Gallery 107 into a cultural and artistic hub for the region, while providing local residents with opportunities to enjoy art and experience artistic achievement.
The program is open to 150 youths and adults residing in Gokseong. Key activities include a variety of programs such as pottery experiences with professional artists, mother-of-pearl crafts, patchwork crafts, three-dimensional modeling, floral art, traditional arts, and painting on hapjukseon (traditional folding fans).
This winter, Gallery 107 will run adult programs and, through the outreach Art School, will collaborate with the Gokseong Children's Library on the "Running Imagination" horse model sculpture activity. Additionally, the "A Spoonful of Art for the Village" program will be offered free of charge, bringing art directly to local seniors in their communities.
