Seokyoung Seo, a member of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Assembly (People Power Party, Pohang), was selected as an 'Outstanding Member for Administrative Audit and Budget Review,' recognizing his responsible legislative activities that have met the expectations of the residents, according to an announcement on the 22nd.
This award is a special honor granted to assembly members who have contributed to the rational management of provincial finances, based on a comprehensive evaluation of the entire process of administrative audits and budget reviews conducted for both the Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial government and the provincial office of education.
Assemblyman Seo has closely examined provincial administration, thoroughly reviewing the on-site suitability and issues of policies and major projects, and has developed practical improvement measures that reflect the opinions of local residents. He has also been highly regarded for proposing alternatives that lead to real change, rather than stopping at formal criticism.
During the 2026 budget review process, he meticulously assessed the necessity and appropriateness of each project, focusing on preventing fiscal waste and ensuring that the budget is allocated to areas of genuine need.
