Advisory Committee of 10 Appointed by Gyeongbuk Development Corporation to Provide Input on Public Rental Apartment Design Through Move-In

On December 22, Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jaehyuk) held the “GBDC Dream Homes Advisory Committee Appointment Ceremony” to realize user-centered residential spaces and enhance the competitiveness of public rental housing. At the event, appointment certificates were awarded to 10 advisory members. The corporation stated that the main purpose of operating this advisory committee is to dramatically strengthen the competitiveness of public rental housing by reflecting a wide range of user opinions from the early design stage, thereby significantly improving the actual living satisfaction of residents.

The role of this advisory committee is to provide feedback from the perspective of users across all residential projects promoted by the corporation. Based on this, the committee aims not only to build consensus but also to gather feedback and generate ideas to realize a truly “user-centered public rental housing” design. The advisory committee is composed of various groups such as newlyweds, homemakers, young adults, and seniors, all of whom reside in North Gyeongsang Province. The committee will be active for the next two years.

The advisory committee will offer opinions throughout every stage of the public rental housing construction process, including planning and design, detailed design, selection of interior finishing materials for individual units, inspection of sample units, and pre-move-in inspections before completion. The corporation announced that it will review and incorporate feasible suggestions from the committee.
