The strike will affect the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Ilsan Line, Seohae Line, and KTX, all operated by Korea Railroad Corporation.

In preparation for the railway strike, the city organized the situation room on December 10, led by the Director of the Transportation Bureau, with a general coordination team, Transport Support Team 1 (bus), and Transport Support Team 2 (taxi).

As a key emergency transportation measure, temporary emergency buses will operate on December 24 and 26. Three vehicles will run along Jungang-ro from Daehwa Station to DMC Station, with the first bus departing from Daehwa Station at 7 a.m.

Additionally, to minimize inconvenience in metropolitan transportation and transfers, the city plans to deploy reserve city buses intensively during commuting hours and adjust the last bus times flexibly. Intensive taxi dispatching during peak commuting hours is also being encouraged.

Ju Siwoon, Director of the Transportation Bureau, stated, "Minimizing inconvenience to citizens is our top priority, and we will make every effort to ensure that all alternative transportation options operate smoothly."

Once the strike begins, the city will promptly provide updates on the progress of the strike through the city hall website, road electronic signboards, and social media, and will continuously monitor major congested stations to prevent crowding-related safety accidents.

Citizens are advised to check for train service suspensions and train schedules through the media, the Korea Railroad Corporation website, Korail Talk, and subway information apps.

Meanwhile, during the railway strike, the operating rate during morning commuting hours will be maintained at 100% for Line 3, 74% for the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, and 82% for the Seohae Line.
