Industrial AX specialist company SimPlatform announced on December 22 that it successfully hosted the "2025 Public AX Project Performance Report and Healthcare Information Infodemic Response Strategy Seminar" at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on December 19.
This seminar was organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, with support from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and SimPlatform served as the main host. The event shared the proven results of the Public AX Project. It was organized to discuss response strategies for medical misinformation (infodemic), which has emerged as a social issue since the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, SimPlatform CEO Lim Daekeun gave a presentation on "Current Status of the Public AX Project, Platform Demonstration, and Future Plans." Through this project, SimPlatform validated an artificial intelligence (AI)-based public healthcare system. Based on its industrial AX platform "NUBISON," the company presented the potential and future direction for AI applications in the public healthcare sector.
Next, Hong Jongyun, Director of the SNU FactCheck Center at Seoul National University, examined domestic and international cases of medical misinformation and manipulation, as well as the resulting social costs. He emphasized the need for systematic fact-checking systems in the public sector. Lee Jongyoung, Editor-in-Chief of The Medical, introduced ontology-based infodemic response technologies and methods to enhance the reliability of medical information using AI platforms.
The seminar was attended by stakeholders from the digital healthcare industry, academia, policymakers, and journalists, who engaged in active discussions on strategies to respond to the medical infodemic through cooperation between the public and private sectors.
CEO Lim Daekeun stated, "This seminar went beyond a simple project performance report; it was an opportunity to reflect on restoring trust in medical information and the public role of digital healthcare," adding, "We will continue to deliver tangible results in AI-based healthcare and public safety sectors."
