A Wide Range of Capsules and New Machines Target Consumer Preferences

Dongseo Foods, through its premium capsule coffee brand "Kanu Barista," offers a diverse range of capsules, encouraging consumers to find coffee that matches their individual preferences.

Last month, Dongseo Foods introduced two new latte-exclusive capsules: "Kanu Soft Harmony" and "Kanu Forte Ensemble." Both products are characterized by their rich, smooth, and sweet flavors and aromas when enjoyed with milk. "Kanu Soft Harmony" achieves a gentle balance of jasmine aroma and sweetness by blending lightly roasted Ethiopian natural beans with milk. "Kanu Forte Ensemble" delivers a deep flavor profile by combining the robust body of Colombian and Brazilian beans with Ethiopian natural beans, resulting in a harmonious taste of dark chocolate, brown sugar, and caramel.

In addition, the fourth single-origin product in the Kanu Barista lineup, "Kanu Single Origin Brazil Cerrado," has also been launched. This product uses Rainforest Alliance-certified beans, developed in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance to address climate and environmental issues. It offers a rich flavor with nutty almond notes, smooth chocolate, and a lingering hint of honey sweetness. The limited-edition winter capsule, "Kanu Winter Snow," compatible with Dolce Gusto machines, completes the winter mood with its sweet milk chocolate and nutty flavors.

The "Kanu Barista Pebble" capsule coffee machine, popular for its minimal size and design, has expanded consumers' choices by adding two new colors: "Mocha," which evokes a soft coffee-inspired mood, and "Lavender," which offers a warm and lovely feeling.

"Kanu Barista" is a capsule coffee brand launched in 2023, embodying over 50 years of Dongseo Foods' coffee manufacturing expertise and know-how. Recognizing that Korean consumers prefer Americano, each capsule contains 9.5 grams of coffee beans-1.7 times more than traditional espresso capsules-allowing for a richer Americano experience. Currently offering 16 exclusive capsule varieties, Kanu Barista enables consumers to choose coffee according to their preferences, with options ranging from light roast, medium roast, dark roast, and decaf to single origin, covering a wide spectrum of roasting intensities.
