The purpose of this agreement is to systematically train healthcare professionals with practical skills required in clinical settings by establishing a cooperative system among the university, medical institution, and research institute, and to realize an industry-academia-research collaborative education model that connects education and research.
Under the agreement, the three institutions will cooperate in various areas, focusing on the joint development and operation of the undergraduate “Clinical Trial Operations Manager Nano-Degree Program” at the College of Nursing and the “Interdisciplinary Program in Clinical Trial Operations Management” at the Graduate School of Nursing. Their collaboration will include: ▲ linking and supporting educational programs with practical work ▲ providing environments for field training ▲ activating education and research cooperation ▲ exchanging research personnel and technical information, and jointly utilizing specialized equipment and facilities.
In particular, Hallym University will foster regionally based professionals through the operation of educational programs related to clinical trial operations management, while Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital will support practice-oriented education by providing clinical environments and field training for students. Gangwon Research Institute will serve as a hub connecting education, research, and policy by supporting practical links in the curriculum, conducting research related to regional healthcare and industrial policies, and providing policy and data support.
Eunjeong Kim, Dean of the College of Nursing at Hallym University, stated, “This agreement is significant in that it goes beyond simple industry-academia cooperation to establish a model for nurturing clinical trial professionals that reflects the actual needs of the local healthcare field. We expect it will contribute to fostering regionally based clinical trial talent and strengthening research competitiveness in the future.”
