The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education held the '2025 Gyeonggi Education Major Policy Performance Report Meeting' on December 22 at the Suwon Southern Government Complex.
This performance report meeting was organized under the theme of "Policies That Capture the Field, Policies That Reach the Field," focusing on evaluating the effectiveness of policies based on field evidence and discussion, and reflecting these insights in the formulation of next year's Gyeonggi education policies.
The meeting was divided into four main policy areas: education that fosters capabilities through school autonomy and accountability; education that helps students realize their dreams through regional cooperation; education that expands learning beyond time and space; and administration that supports the expansion of public education centered on schools.

The first part featured sharing and discussion of the outcomes of 33 major policies promoted by each department of the main office this year. The second part included in-depth discussions on exemplary cases from education support offices and affiliated institutions, as well as current issues faced in the field.
Im Taehee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, said, "I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the outstanding achievements of Gyeonggi education this year." He added, "There is a term called 'hubris syndrome,' and at this point, I hope this serves as an opportunity for us to reflect once again on what we need to be more cautious about, so that we do not fall into self-satisfaction or complacency."
He continued, "This gathering is a time to check whether Gyeonggi education is on the right track and whether policies are being properly implemented in the field, as well as to devise new plans for next year." He urged, "Let us make it a habit to always seek new things, strive for further improvement, and carry out our given work with a positive mindset."
