Park Danyu has claimed the honor of being named the Screen Golf Player of the Year.

On December 21, at Golfzon Joymaru in Daejeon, she secured the top spot at the 2025 Lotte Rent-a-Car WG Tour Championship, a women's screen golf tour event with a total prize fund of 120 million won. She shot 11-under par in the first round and 12-under par in the second round, finishing with a total of 26-under par, five strokes ahead of Han Jimin. Park received the winner's prize of 25 million won. With this victory, her second of the season and seventh overall, Park Danyu accumulated 18,590 Player of the Year points and lifted the Player of the Year trophy.

Immediately after her win, Park Danyu exclaimed, "I am truly happy to have won the final tournament following my victory in the second event this year. I practiced harder than ever, and I think that's why I was able to achieve such a good result." She added, "I sincerely thank my fellow players who helped me improve my putting, my family who always supports me, and the tournament officials and sponsors."

The tournament was held in Golfzon's TwoVision NX Tour mode, with 36 holes of stroke play over two rounds in a single day and no cut. The event took place at Teddy Valley Country Club, renowned for its beautiful Jeju scenery and excellent course management. Hong Hyeonji claimed the money title with 93 million won in earnings. Han Jimin received the Popularity Award, and Kim Chaeyoung was named Rookie of the Year with 5,690 points.

Celebrating its 14th anniversary, the Golfzon WG Tour strengthened its competitiveness this season by introducing new major tournaments and establishing a 4K broadcast environment. By maximizing the sense of presence and immersion of screen golf, it provided viewers with a more special and enjoyable experience. The number of tournaments and total prize money were increased, and next year, the tour plans to further expand opportunities for enjoyment through screen golf by offering a differentiated points system and growing the scale of the competition.
