The Pantry in "Black and White Chef 2" Revealed... Hansem's "Bach Dressroom"

Shelf Modules Evoking an Ingredient Archive
Optimized for a Competition Environment Where Strategies Are Devised in Minutes

Netflix's global culinary competition show, "Black and White Chef Season 2," has been drawing attention for its intense tension right from the first episode. Immediately after its release on the 16th, social media platforms and various online communities were flooded with reviews highlighting the show's impact, with many noting that it has already become difficult to book reservations at restaurants operated by the contestants.

According to industry sources on the 22nd, the pantry featured in "Black and White Chef Season 2" is equipped with Hansem's "Bach Dressroom Shelf Cabinet." In the first round of Episode 1, the pantry space, where the ingredients and tools for the underdog chefs were selected, was furnished with this product.

Hansem participated as the official special partner for this season, providing contestants with an optimal cooking environment and high-quality kitchen solutions. The company naturally showcased its key products in line with each episode's mission concept, intuitively demonstrating their functionality through scenes of chefs using them in real time.

The Hansem Bach Dressroom unveiled in the first round featured shelf modules lining both walls up to the ceiling, creating the impression of a massive "ingredient archive." Notably, the floor, ceiling, and walls were all finished in black and white tones, visually embodying the show's concept of contrast between black and white. The Bach Dressroom is a premium storage system that combines surfaces with a natural wood texture and a modular storage structure.

In particular, the Bach Dressroom, used as a pantry, was designed to minimize the chefs' movement paths and allow them to instantly identify and retrieve ingredients or tools through open storage. This provided an optimized environment where chefs could quickly devise strategies and focus on their missions. A Hansem representative involved in planning and installing the pantry set for "Black and White Chef 2" explained, "Given the nature of the competition, there are many situations where chefs move quickly in groups, so we meticulously adjusted the layout of the open shelves and storage to prevent traffic jams or collisions."

Meanwhile, Hansem is running the "Kitchen Is Skill" campaign, appointing Chef Ahn Sungjae, a judge on "Black and White Chef 2," as an ambassador to more effectively showcase the expertise of Hansem Kitchen. Chef Ahn Sungjae is the owner-chef of "Mosoo," the first fine dining restaurant in Korea to receive three Michelin stars, and is recognized in the domestic and international culinary scenes for his sophisticated gastronomic philosophy and rigorous standards.

A Hansem representative stated, "We will actively support professional chefs in demonstrating their best skills by combining Hansem's philosophy and expertise, which has been developed over 55 years of studying Korean lifestyles, with their know-how and capabilities." The representative added, "Starting with the first round, Hansem's products will continue to be featured in various upcoming episodes."
