Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is launching the "Gangnam Online Lecture Voucher Support Project" by signing a business agreement with Gangnam District to utilize public online learning content.
This project has been established to support local youth during their winter break and to strengthen the learning environment necessary for career and college preparation.
Gangnam Online Lecture is a public online learning platform operated by Gangnam District Office. It offers a wide range of educational content for middle and high school students, covering major subjects such as Korean, English, and mathematics, as well as lectures for college entrance exams and school exams. The platform features an outstanding faculty with subject-specific expertise, providing a systematic curriculum. Students can tailor their studies to their individual goals and abilities according to subject and learning level.
Through this voucher support, Yangju City expects that local youth will be able to access verified public learning content and enjoy a more stable learning environment, regardless of their regional or family circumstances.
Applications for the Gangnam Online Lecture Voucher Support Project will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Yangju Career and College Preparation Platform starting at 10:00 a.m. on January 6.
Yangju City believes that this project will help youth strengthen their self-directed learning abilities by utilizing learning resources necessary for major subjects and career preparation. In particular, the ability to study anytime and anywhere allows for efficient learning alongside regular school classes.
Jung Yoojin, Director of Future Education at Yangju City, stated, "It is important to ensure that youth do not face difficulties in preparing for their careers and college entrance due to learning conditions," adding, "We hope that through the Gangnam Online Lecture Voucher Support, students will be able to set their own learning plans according to their goals and steadily put them into practice."
Yangju City plans to continue discovering and implementing various learning support initiatives to further strengthen youth capabilities for career and college preparation.
