Strawberry Field Cake, Santa Hat Cake, and More
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghoon) announced on December 22 that, with Christmas approaching, it is offering a wide variety of products ranging from classic cakes to desserts.
As "Readycore," a form of planned consumption, emerges as a new consumer trend, the company is introducing a range of cakes available for pre-order to accommodate customers who prefer to prepare in advance.

At the "Kitchen 205" store located on the basement first floor of the main building at Gwangju Shinsegae, the highly popular strawberry cake-which draws long waiting lines every year-will be sold in limited quantities from December 23 to 25.
Customers can make payments and pick up their cakes in the order in which they receive a numbered ticket on the day of purchase. Numbered tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis twice a day: 150 tickets at 10:30 a.m. and 150 tickets at 4:00 p.m. Each customer is limited to one cake, and as quantities are limited, early purchase is essential.
The signature items are the "Strawberry Field Cake No. 1" and the "Strawberry Field Cake Mini," both made with 100% animal-based fresh cream, house-baked genoise, and an abundance of fresh strawberries.
Additionally, at "Gungjeon Bakery," customers who pre-order cakes by December 22 will receive a 10% discount. Cake pickup is available from December 23 to 25 at the food event hall on the basement first floor of the main building.
Gungjeon Bakery is offering a variety of cakes, including the "Strawberry Tree Cake," shaped like a Christmas tree to capture the holiday spirit; the "Strawberry Fresh Cream Cake," which combines the softness of pure milk fresh cream, the refreshing flavor of strawberries, and the sweetness of rich mascarpone custard cream; and the "Strawberry Chocolate Cake," featuring moist chocolate sponge, smooth chocolate ganache fresh cream, and plenty of fresh strawberries.
The "Christmas Sweets" special event is being held at the event hall on the basement first floor of the main building, featuring a variety of dessert pop-ups through December 25.
The "Santa Hat Edition" from "Maison Second," a bakery run by a professional patissier in Suwan District using premium ingredients, is a sweet and smooth petit g?teau made with Belgian dark chocolate and Goheung citron, perfect for creating a festive Christmas atmosphere. The "Victoria Cake" from "Aneukhan" caf? is also available.
For those seeking a sweet mood, "Teambell's Teambell Chocolate" and "Assarong" desserts are also easy to enjoy. "Ronda Bakeshop" is presenting the "Dubai Chewy Cookie," which is currently trending among Millennials & Gen Z, as well as the "Strawberry Towel Cake."
Kwon Hyukwon, Head of Food and Lifestyle at Gwangju Shinsegae, stated, "We have prepared a variety of items so that you can share sweet desserts with your loved ones this Christmas. We hope you enjoy the benefits of pre-order discounts at Gwangju Shinsegae and have a joyful time with those who are dear to you."
