Chungnam-Type Early Employment Contract Program
'Advanced Technology Convergence Department' Regular Admissions
100% Employment at Chungnam Companies Upon Admission
Chungnam Provincial College announced on December 23 that it will recruit new students for the 'Advanced Technology Convergence Department,' a Chungnam-type early employment contract program, through the 2026 regular admissions process.
As the only public university in Chungnam, Chungnam Provincial College has established a talent development model that reflects the demands of local industries and trends in future technologies. Recently, it has been gaining attention as a hub university for fostering regional innovation talent.
The Chungnam-type early employment contract department is an educational model operated in collaboration among universities, companies, and local governments. Its most distinctive feature is that students are guaranteed employment with companies in the Chungnam region upon admission. During their first year, students complete theory and practical training at the college, and from the second year, they work at contracted companies in Chungnam, combining work and study. Through this system, students earn an associate degree in just one year and six months by completing 'one year at college plus six months of work experience.'
Chungnam Provincial College has also created a platform for young people to hear directly from companies and understand the significance of starting their careers in Chungnam. In collaboration with the Chungnam Youth Center, the college operated the 'Chungnam Public University Linked Employment Program' in November. At this event, youth and human resource managers from local industries met in person to discuss hiring standards, share on-site experiences, and emphasize the importance of working and growing in Chungnam.
In particular, HR and operations managers from leading companies in Chungnam's core industries, such as environment, energy, semiconductors, and materials, participated as panelists. They shared candid insights on topics including: the qualities companies truly seek in talent, the key factors considered in interviews, and the reasons and advantages of starting a career in Chungnam. Messages such as "We value attitude and growth potential over credentials" and "Chungnam enables diverse experiences thanks to strong inter-industry connections" resonated strongly with the participating youth.
The 'Advanced Technology Convergence Department' operates a convergence curriculum based on the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Environmental Energy, encompassing fields such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, environment, energy, and carbon neutrality. The program aims to nurture talent with practical skills immediately applicable in industry, offering hands-on, practice-oriented education that reflects the actual equipment and environments used by companies.

Through this educational model, Chungnam Provincial College is building a 'Chungnam-type virtuous cycle talent ecosystem' that goes beyond simple early employment to connect the sustainable growth of local industries and youth. Chungcheongnam-do provides financial and institutional support through settlement grants and the RISE project, while the college is responsible for operating academic programs with a strong understanding of industry needs. Companies can reliably secure verified local talent, and students are guaranteed employment upon admission.
Support for incoming students is also noteworthy. Chungnam Provincial College offers full scholarships covering tuition, free commuter buses connecting all areas of Chungnam, and 100% dormitory accommodation for enrolled students, creating an environment where students can focus on their studies. In addition, the college provides more than 130 online courses, foreign language education, and overseas training programs to support learning and capacity building.
The Advanced Technology Convergence Department will recruit a total of 55 students through this regular admission process. The selection is conducted outside the regular quota and is based 100% on interviews; scores from the College Scholastic Ability Test and high school records are not considered. Anyone who meets the academic requirements under relevant laws, including high school graduates (or expected graduates) and those who have passed the qualification exam, is eligible to apply. However, to be finally admitted, applicants must submit an employment confirmation letter from a participating company.
Guyong Lee, Director of the Contract Department Support Center at Chungnam Provincial College (Professor of Environmental Energy Department), stated, "The Advanced Technology Convergence Department sets a new standard for nurturing practical talent that bridges Chungnam's key industries and future sectors," adding, "We look forward to many applications from young people who wish to learn locally and grow by working at regional companies through the regular admissions process."
Meanwhile, applications for the regular admission process will be accepted from December 29, 2025, to January 14, 2026. For more information, please visit the Chungnam Provincial College website or contact the admissions office by phone.
