Recently, as international cruise routes from China have diversified, calls at Korean ports have been gradually increasing. Of the cruise calls scheduled for 2026, four will be from China. In addition, Chinese cruise lines such as Blue Dream Cruises and Adora Cruises have also made further inquiries about additional arrivals.
A city official stated, "Ahead of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, we plan to actively pursue efforts to attract more international cruise ships." The official added, "We will continue to strengthen the foundation for cruise tourism by developing tailored marketing strategies for cruise lines, creating new shore excursion programs, and improving the capacity of the cruise terminal."
