Chae Bi, the leading charge point operator (CPO) for rapid charging infrastructure, announced on December 22 that it has received new certification as a "2025 Family-Friendly Company" from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
The Family-Friendly Company certification is an official government program based on Article 15 of the Act on the Promotion of the Creation of a Family-Friendly Social Environment. It is awarded to companies and public institutions that serve as exemplary models in supporting childbirth and childcare, implementing flexible work arrangements, and fostering a family-friendly organizational culture, enabling employees to balance work and family life. To receive certification, organizations must undergo a comprehensive evaluation, not only of their institutional framework but also of their actual performance and organizational culture, and are selected through a rigorous annual review process.
In this year’s review, Chae Bi received high marks in key areas such as the rate of parental leave and reduced working hours among female employees, the rate of hiring substitute personnel, the retention rate after parental leave and pre- and post-natal leave, the utilization rate of paternity leave, the adoption rate of flexible work arrangements, and the provision of paid leave exceeding statutory requirements.
In particular, Chae Bi was highly evaluated for not only establishing policies but also creating a culture where employees can actively utilize these programs and for maintaining a stable employment environment. The ongoing commitment and strong will of top management to support these initiatives throughout the organization also played a significant role in achieving this certification.
CEO Younghoon Chae stated, "This Family-Friendly Company certification is especially meaningful because it is the result of the collective efforts of our more than 330 employees and the company. When our employees feel happy and secure both at work and at home, the company can grow together with them." He added, "Family-friendly management is not a one-time effort but a continuous journey. We will continue to listen to our employees and drive positive change going forward."
With this certification, Chae Bi will receive various preferential benefits, including eligibility in public institution bid evaluations, selection for government and public support projects, and credit assessments in the financial sector. The company can also use the official family-friendly certification mark on its products and promotional materials, which is expected to enhance external trust. As a culture that values work-life balance, especially among Millennials & Gen Z, is becoming a key criterion for choosing a company, the certification is also expected to positively impact talent recruitment.
Chae Bi plans to use this certification as a foundation to continuously create an environment where employees can work with peace of mind throughout their lives. The company intends to expand welfare programs needed at each life stage-including support for childbirth and childcare, children's education, eldercare, and retirement preparation-and to establish an organizational culture that harmonizes work and family.
Meanwhile, Chae Bi was awarded the "2025 Second Half City Administration Development Merit Award (Economic Development Category)" in recognition of its contribution to strengthening national industrial competitiveness through the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and increased overseas exports. Alongside its Family-Friendly Company certification, Chae Bi continues to achieve sustainable growth by pursuing both technological innovation and people-centered management.
