Operation of 2+2 Joint Education Program
Promoting Faculty and Student Exchanges
Dongseo University has expanded its academic exchange activities to Cambodia.
Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) announced on December 22 that it had signed an academic exchange agreement with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) during a recent visit by the RUPP presidential delegation.
This agreement was established to build a global academic cooperation system by expanding mutual educational programs and academic research exchanges between the two institutions. The universities plan to pursue various collaborative projects, including a 2+2 joint education program, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of educational programs.
The visiting delegation also toured Dongseo University's outstanding educational facilities to benchmark best practices.
President Jang Jeguk stated, "We expect educational and academic exchanges between the two universities to become even more active," adding, "Based on mutual trust, we will work to achieve practical and sustainable cooperation outcomes."
President Chet Chealy responded, "We will dispatch working-level staff in the first half of 2026 to discuss the concrete operation of the 2+2 joint education program between our universities," and added, "We will consult on specific cooperation measures, including sending students to participate in Dongseo University's specialized joint education programs and exchange student initiatives."
The Royal University of Phnom Penh is Cambodia's top national comprehensive university, offering education and research across a wide range of academic fields, including humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. As a leading institution in Cambodian higher education, it is enhancing its global competitiveness by promoting international exchange and academic cooperation.
Through this agreement, Dongseo University plans to further expand the foundation for international educational cooperation in Cambodia and to continuously develop and broaden various international exchange programs to strengthen the global competencies of students from both universities.
